2023 Jeep Wrangler

What's new in 2023

New for this year is a limited-edition model, the Wrangler Freedom edition, which features a military-themed exterior and interior design cues, such as an Oscar Mike badge on the rear swing gate, American flag decal, a steel front bumper and rock rails.

The Rubicon gets new 17-inch wheel designs from other models in the lineup. Also, there are two brand-new paint colors that were added to the 2023 Jeep ® Wrangler color palette Earl, a neutral grey with aquamarine undertones and Reign, which is a striking, limited-edition purple. (We think this is a nod to the album Purple Rain by The Artist Formerly Known as Prince.

The entry-level Sport version has a starting price of $31,195, while the Rubicon 392 model's top-of-the-line MSRP is $82,497.

About the Jeep Wrangler

The legendary Jeep® Wrangler model is well known for its dependability, open-air capabilities, and low maintenance costs. The performance from the Jeep Wrangler's 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine is outstanding coupled with its unmatched off-road capability thanks to over 80 years of 4×4 engineering expertise.

In addition to its standard eight-speed automatic transmission, the Wrangler continues to feature a body-on-frame construction, solid axles, electronic locks, front and rear five-link suspension systems, and is one of the few SUVs to offer a six-speed manual transmission as well.

For comfort and safety, Wrangler features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, blind-spot monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection, adaptive cruise control, and Forward Collision Warning-Plus.

It also comes with the iconic round headlamps, seven-slot keystone grille, trapezoidal wheel flares, detachable doors with exposed hinges, a fold-down windshield, and their well-known removable tops all which will set you apart while driving in Charleston and Hilton Head, SC.

One of the Wrangler's best features is the variety of powertrain and trim choices available, which range from a luxuriously equipped plug-in hybrid to a 470-hp Rubicon Xtreme Recon with every piece of off-road equipment imaginable.

Performance

Due to the fact that Wranglers are built for off-road use, four-wheel drive is standard on all models. Options include:

COMMAND-TRAC® 4X4 SYSTEM

The Command-Trac® Part-Time 4x4 system delivers torque to all four wheels for incredible traction. It has a 2.72:1 low range for rock crawling.

SELEC-TRAC® 4X4 SYSTEM

The Selec-Trac® 4x4 System automatically switches to two-wheel drive on clear roads for maximum efficiency or to four-wheel drive for continuous traction on snow, ice, rain or mud.

ROCK-TRAC® 4X4 SYSTEM

Standard on Wrangler Rubicon, this provides more control and more torque, offering impressive off-road performance with a 4:1 low-gear ratio that lets you crawl at a lower speed with increased torque at the wheels.

According to EPA fuel economy figures, the Wrangler outperforms competitors like the Bronco and 4Runner. For the base 4-cylinder model there's a fuel efficiency of 22 mpg in the city and 29 on the interstate.
